Editing personal settings: Backlog user information

As a user, you can easily edit your personal user information on the Personal Settings, User Information page.

Note: There are some differences in the personal settings, user information page between the Classic plan and New plan. The different user information for each plan that users can edit are described here.

Personal user information (New Plan)

On the user information page, you can choose to use the same information in your Nulab Account for your nickname and profile icon in Backlog, or submit a new nickname and icon for your Backlog user information.

Nulab Account information

If you use Nulab Account information, to manage your Nulab Account, select Edit Nulab Account, and it will redirect you to the Nulab Account Profile page. On the Nulab Account profile page, you can further manage your user name, email, unique ID, language, and timezone.

Backlog user information

If you use Backlog user information, you will need to update the following details.

Nickname
Represents your user name.
Profile Icon
*Backlog offers some interesting default icons. You can also upload your image. The uploaded image will be automatically resized if the image size is larger than 32x32 pixels.

Personal user information (Classic Plan)

If you have connected your Backlog user ID to Nulab Account, please refer to the New Plan Personal user information guide.

If your account is not connected to Nulab Account, you can manage other key user information in the Classic Plan besides the common settings stated below.

Below is the key personal user information you can manage in your personal settings page under the Classic Plan.

User ID
Used for @mention tags and notifications in the issues or comments.
Nickname
Represents your user name.
Email Address
Profile Icon

Other common settings

Besides your user profile, other common settings (applicable to Classic and New Plan) that you can manage in your personal user information page are listed below.

Issue Page Settings
You can set the issue's comments to display in either a collapsed or full view.
- If you check to set "Do not collapse comments automatically", all comments will be displayed
- If you uncheck the settings, it will only display the 3 latest comments.

Shortcut Keys
Check the box "Enable shortcut keys" to use the shortcut key function in Backlog.

Appearance
You can set your Backlog appearance to Light, Dark, or Use same appearance as Nulab Account.

Biography
You can update more information about yourself for other users to know you better, such as location, biography, or your social media or blog URL.
